Houmous is so easy and cheap to make yourself ! This one is really simple, feel free to add any of you own favourite ingredients like tomatoes, chillies etc.. Houmous goes with everything, I love eating it on toased rye bread, a brown rice cracker or just on it’s own!
Makes 450 gram hummus Ingredients: 1 400 gram tin of chickpeas Juice of 1 lemon 1 tbsp. olive oil 1 tbsp. tahini salt and pepper Method: Drain and rinse the chickpeas. Place the chickpeas, lemon juice, olive oil and tahini in a food processor and season with salt and pepper. Blitz until smooth. Place the houmous in an airtight container and store in the fridge. It will keep for about 2 days.
